Who we are

Bass Lake Cheese Factory was first established in 1918. At that time, there were over 2,800 small cheese factories spread across the lush Wisconsin countryside. Today, fewer than 200 cheese factories remain in Wisconsin, many of which are large and automated. Bass Lake Cheese Factory is family-owned and operated! We are proud to make our award-winning cheeses the old-fashioned way, following traditional recipes passed down through generations. We also enjoy experimenting with new and unique specialty cheeses, which makes your visit to our factory fun and invites you to step back in time to a way of life where quality, value, and excitement are the norm. We operate in a traditional manner, and service is our top priority.
