Bass Lake Cheese Factory was first established in 1918. At that time there were over 28 hundred small cheese factories dotting the lush Wisconsin Country-side. Today there are less than two hundred cheese factories left in Wisconsin (many of which are large and automated). Bass Lake Cheese Factory is family owned and family run!! We are proud to be making our award-winning cheeses the old fashioned way, using traditional recipes that have been handed down from generation to generation. We also love to experiment with new and diverse specialty cheeses which will make your visit to our factory fun and exciting!
